DET and Axel carrier bracket
So am i the only one the encountered this **** up!! AFter my car was sitting for a while thru my breakup with baby momma i noticed on the high way the car wobbled...didnt think nothing of it. Was playing around later that night and heard something snap. So now when i drive past 20 the whole car shakes...Drove a lil further and car was just revving up (barely going) So i get underneath it and the bracket is off the block...one bolt broken off inside and the other stripped out. So now i got to pull the motor out and pull the one bolt out and drill and tap a bigger hole for the other bolt bolt. Is this safe or should i get another block.

Should be safe, but I honestly think you need to investigate further to find out WHY it did it in the first place.

It did it because there are only two holding it on. I bet one was not tightened all the way and put all the pressure on the other bolt which is why it broke.

^^yeah thats my guess....

Are there any other brackets out there that could utilize 3 holes for a det?? I thought someone fabbed up something like that before?

Its called doing things the right way. Most people like to half a$$ stuff and it will always come back and bite you much harder.

This is how I do them.

So do you do that to all the engines you sell dre? Maybe i can source a aluminum welder and get that done as well as repair... I had no clue that was being done. And yeah i kinda of rushed the project but was also a rookie as well...have learned alot thru the years reading and own experiences.

i am having this same problem, i just bought a det and i was goign to put it in then i noticed that it only had 2 bolt holes. what do i do, either swap out all the guts in to a ve or just weld on a one of those adapters

I have seen many a DET with just the 2 bolts used to hold down the axle bracket. I dont think it is 100% needed but I get them welded on for my customers to be 100% safe.

My friends car runs 11.8 @ 122 and he just has the 2 bolts. I personally have never seen a 2 bolt setup break off of a block.
