I switched to blow thru as a last ditch effort at cleaning up my idle. I had tried everything from regrounding everything including the maf and ECU, replacing the IACV, resetting the tps, blah blah blah. Nothing worked until I went to a blowthru setup. It may have been that my bov was leaking at idle, but I was never able to confirm that by any tests. I personally just think that the turbo and recirc hoses were creating a lot of turbulence and that the maf didn't like it. IDK but it cleaned it up. It may have been my imagination, but I felt like throttle response was better too. The world may never know, but I'm liking it for now.

I'm running blow through just for the cleanup. It seems I have the wrong MAF anyways as running stock boost it pegs 5v WAY too early.
And I like loud BOVs.

There is no reason you can't recirc a blow through setup. Mine runs better like that. I just run the MAF with an adapter and 3-2.5" transition coupler on each side.

Also if you run any of the 3" plastic mafs it can leak under boost through the square rubber gasket on top. I hit it with some schmoo (permatex) to seal it up nicely.

You sure didn't call me a ricer at the convention Then again, the synapse isn't overkill in the noise department. (at least I don't think so?!)

Or you can completely blow it off the housing Some two part epoxy and some duct tape, and it'll be as good as new!

I have an N60 maf, and I'm pretty sure it's plastic. But anyways, I cut off the square thing that mounts it to the stock air box to make it round, and just run a 3" - 2.5" coupler?

Where is that square deal that leaks? I need to see if mine has one so I know where to epoxy it.
