MAF placement on blow through
Is it acceptable to put your MAF like this? I've seen people put their MAFs in the intercooler piping also, and I'm wondering what works better. It seems like doing it like this picture would be a hell of a lot easier, just one of my friends told me that you can't do this. I fell like an idiot asking this question, but I figured I'd rather have the correct info rather than false info.

Ok maybe I'm stupid but the pic you posted of the VE w/ bigazz topmount turbo is a draw through setup. So no you can't put your maf like that for blow through.

Its a matter of definitions. Blow through means maf before turbo. blow through means maf after turbo. I have my maf blow through like this;

See the maf there behind the battery? That's a blow through setup.

^ you have draw through. Blow thru is maf between turbo and throttle body. Draw thru is Maf before the turbo in which you SHOULD recirculate the BOV.

its filter maf then turbo then piping to the throttle body. so i have draw setup.

so the question is pros and cons? and yes likethemovies i do have a recirc going toward my BOV. thats that big ass hose next to the pic that goes toward the back of the motor

Pros of blow thru are that if you blow a coupler off you can still drive the car... You can't get really to far as if your running draw thru.
