GT28R wastegate issue.
So I am fitting a S14 28R on my highport motor with a BB manifold and Im having issues with the wastegate. I want the turbo to be clocked upwards to suit my GTIR piping and that makes it so the wastegate does not bolt up. Not only that but when I bolt it up with the rod unattached, it hits the drain for the VC. So I was thinking of this bracket..

with the corresponding wastegate to work with the bracket. Has anyone ever done this?

Yup lol did not work. I have mine facing down and with a gti-r manifold though. I just used a Stock Gti-r wastegate bracket and get a wastegate with adjustable rod like the hks ones and that should do the trick. Make sure it's a straight rod also.

Also, this bracket might work. I found it after I did my little custom thing lol

the ball bearing s14 is the gt2560 aka gt28r. i think im going external wastegate and get rid of the damn thing and have better control and make a bit more power.

No such thing as a S15 gt2871r, since HKS had the patent on its design with the GT-RS when the S15 was in production. GT2871 is a relatively new garrett turbo compared to age of an S15.

So what was the S15 turbo then?
