well jp's car is a standard ve was making 450whp with 20ve cams and now withe the 16ve cams its probably making closer to 500whp

if that doesnt make a believer out of you i dont know what will

My VE rods were exactly the same as my DE rods.

whoah did mr rican post some bad info, haha j/k man but yeah the 2.0 ve rods are the same, the 1.6 rods are the thinner ones.

Yeah the sr20 is a stout motor, keep detonation away and your good to go, when you get way up there in power it gets harder and harder to keep it away. Jp uses water/meth injection on his which is by far the best way to get rid of heat and get rid of it quickly. He is running pump gas and water/meth and has no problems hitting 500+whp on a stock sr20 motor. Go search through his old threads to find out.

The only real weaker point on the ve's is that they dont have a girdle on the main caps and the pistons have slightly thinner ring lands which only equates to if you do get detonation there is more of a chance of cracking them. But if tuned correctly on the proper setup you shouldnt have any detonation at all cuz at those levels even a little can be a disaster.
