Turbo Intakes - 2.5" vs 3"
I've been thinking about installing a 3" intake onto my T25 and wondering if it's worth the time, effort, and money.

I am thinking about the future, in case I go T28, etc.

The main reason I'm considering it is the E60 MAF is 3", BPi Flow Stack is 3". So I'm wondering if having the rest of the piping be 3" would be helpful.

Currently the T25 does have a 2.25" inlet, so 3" to 2.25" would be needed.

I say as long as you can avoid having to grind the block I'd go for it. Maybe a stock GTi-R turbo inlet pipe and then a 2.25" to 3" coupler? *shrug*
Grinding the block is just annoying.
Maybe with your manifold you won't have to and you can use the ATP adapter I did without having to grind anything.

But you know me. I'll have you thinking 6" pipe (the filter is 6" dawg!) before you know it.

Also; get that damn battery in the trunk God damnit.

It doesn't seem like any block grinding will be needed. But that does mean I will have to get new bungs welded onto the pipe. Might be something that I will send to you .

The only real concern that I had was the radiator hose, but that can be pushed aside without a problem as it seems.

No trunk batteries for me. I like the trunk space. And now that I have a custom location for the battery it's fine and will never have to be touched. Unless I want to replace the hids...

Big is good on the intake side. I don't really think goin from 3" to 4" is going to yield much in gains, but you never know. It just sucks because I am running a 3" Z32 maf now.
