Thread: New NGK part number for BKR7E

I see many posts/threads asking about the "discontinuation" of NGK 7's, that we normally use in boosted/n2o applications...

So here it is:

New NGK PN: 4644

Hope this helps those of you that are on the verge of breakdown, because your local parts shop only told you they were discontinued

But I couldn't find them anywhere, even Napa didn't have them.

The NAPA I went to, and the O'Reiley's I went to both had them in stock.

Sure you can get them from Greg V, but I highly suggest you stock up on them, then. I typically only carry one extra set.

They phased out the old ones and brought in the new ones without removable tips the bastards!

Not every employee that works at a parts store, knows a damn thing about parts. Both Alex and I can attest to that, because we went to a combined total of 10 stores before someone even knew wtf plastigauge was, and gave it to us.

It's ALWAYS easier to just give them the part number, since that's what all the plugs are categorized by in the back.

^^^ man speaks the truth damn kids that work there dont know a damn thing but we sell intakes that help you go faster is what i get all the time. Plastigage was like this new thing that I had to tell these kids about that work there

Dang man you need to come to my town. We have some really smart people working the counters here. I could be biased because I am one of them lol. I know, this may blow your mind...I work at the Zone lol.

I enjoy it very much, and the pay is more consistent and easier than working on fixing cars. I am happy with the switch. I used to think that parts counter guys were all dumb when I was a tech, but I have gotten to meet some very smart people at the local places.

I believe it must be a required prerequisite to have automotive experience when running a parts store. You shouldn't just hire "salespeople", but you need to hire smart people with a background consistent for the job you are required to perform.

I assume that where you live, people know more than 50 words in English, and not 50 words in hillbilly?

Alex is in New Jersey, and I can assure you that where he lives, there's not many gearheads. They for the most part look like crackheads, and the chicks that were working at one of the "Zones" were talking about clubbing the night before, and were absolutely worthless.

hahaha. Good stuff lol. There are a ton of gearheads around here. I mean tons. Most guys prefer RWD muscle though. I'd like to make my way out to Florida, since rumor has it they have some really sick SR cars down there. Not to mention my car would probably run a million times better at sea level.
