Regarding to the spool here is a comparo...
left 3gear (5200 rpm cam switch)447whp tuned-right 4gear(5000 rpm cam switch) same boost but untuned... 382whp...(this was 1 of the first dynos....) you can see clearly the spool diferences... about 500-550rpm from 3 gear to 4 ... Next time on the dyno Im going to do a pull in 4 gear (tuned) I know its will make a little more power and a broad powerband...
Now I know I can make this turbo to spool in the 4500 rpm area(4gear) with the same turbine housing this is very interesting guys since its a 62mm inducer (comp) and a 67 exducer on the exhaust side) this is a pretty big turbo and the spool is fantastic and also its looks like it will have pocitive delta-p even at 22-23lbs wich means near if not 600whp area So now it may be pocible to play with a smaller turbine housing and see what its does (allways manteining the positive back pressure) I think a 0.80 turbine housing will bring the spool up to 4200 rpm(gt3071 territory in a DE) aprox easy(4gear) for a 72lbs (and 900 hp turbine side wheels)comp its pretty outstanding..
What would be your opinion regarding this... ?
Thanks.
