The VE is just a flat out better motor than the DE.

400 yes but there have been people that have tried even more boost on a gt30 and still havent surpassed the 450whp mark, it seems most are comfortable right at the 400whp mark.

The ve looks like it really loves the bigger turbos by the vid, Gives you the topend where the ve shines and takes advantage of the high duration and big lift of the cams without worries of having reversion. Again its efficient thats for sure. Which is why its making such big numbers at such a low boost level.

and jf your right about the wheelspin, whatever that 160k mile de was making at 28 lbs of boost on 110 octane i can tell you what even with good 205 falken tires on there 1-4th gear are useless, I just bounced the rev limiter the entire time no matter what when i would punch it, Anything above 4.5k would just blow the tires off. That was with stock cams. i hope i can make around 450whp on 20psi or less on the turbo im using and with the jwt s4 cams, That would be great.

pfft there is no one on this site that has a properly set up gt30 ve+t yet. So that is a big call to make. turning up the boost will not net more power if something else is the restriction. This is why i was so keen to see jp's results as the build is holistic in the sense that all his bolt on's tuned for each other

Some news for the next week
Im going again to the dyno probably on wednesday next week to test the sr16 cams after that a 1.34 t3 turbine housing and dyno again plus 8000 rpm limit at the same 16lbs but now constant to the rev limit. (between 2 weeks more)
Cheers and thanks.

Pd:Coheed hurry up man.. I need to see what a 55mm turbo do on a vet with the proper manifold
Good luck.

With any luck we will see results in a couple weeks. Getting stuff together now so that hopefully we can see what a monster this setup will be!

You should be the first to really try out the 20v cams in that setup of yours. I think they will work amazing! Keep up the good work brother!

I have never driven a turbo car on 20V cams but, I have a NA car and I must say that the low end of the cams is extremely noticable over the 1.6 cams. This may help a lot on the low end on a big turbo car.

I would be very interested to see how they work on a turbo car.

I would be willing to try them out asap, but I just need to finish this manifold and get this car running good for this season. I think the 20V cams would be the best overall.

We saw excellent results with the stock 2.0 cams. They work like a charm installed straight up. No need for cam gears. I will be running stock 2.0 cams until somthing proven comes out.

I may just end up doing that. I don't really wanna have to rev extremely high to make good power, as my limitation is the JWT computer at this point. I would love to make a high revving sr16 monster, but for now I want to make this GT30 respond like a smaller turbo and spool up quickly. I def need more revs though. 7500rpm isn't cutting it. I need AT LEAST 8000rpm.
