DET failure
i am curious, from all of you that have had your stock DETs go kaboom,
what did it?
was it the piston that failed or the head that lifted,...
anyone with a w11 that failed?
very interested to know. **dont say it leaned out. im looking for what what PSI you were pushing and what happened.
*Reason behind it, is i was thinking about putting pistons and rods in my det alongside a vet oil pump and vet head along with 1/2" mazworx head studs. BUT........
right now i want to see if i can hit 500+ on stock block, c16+meth. i understand it will be a bomb waiting to happen
BUT i dont want a ticking time bomb that has a very short fuse, maybe a moderate fuse lol.
if i can get maybe 20 passes at the track ill be happy. * i dont drive the car every day
WHY?
because i dont feel like spending more money on my car just yet, im looking to purchase a house. ill do a build later
