So Ive yet to get an answer on why exactly that intercooler is a poor design. Is it because the air will basically get pushed into a wall as it goes into the intercooler, appose to a 90 degree bend allowing it to flow in a turn?
Yeah that is pretty much the basic idea it gets pushed into a wall then it has to spread out and then go through little tubes and do it again. When I say 90 that should be a 90 mandrel bend. There will be a good deal less air flow % loss that way. There have been all kinds of testing on endtanks that work the best and that style always ends up on the suck list

That was me. I still haven't posted the entire install to my thread yet. I'll get to it soon. It's perfect if you ask me and doesn't require a new or different radiator (but also works with the big Koyo everyone likes). Also it can be done with an intercooler with decent end tanks (not like the one you posted).
