There is no real advantage to running a non ball bearing turbo. Except not having to plumb coolant lines, and cost. Reliability may also be sacrificed with the non ball-bearing.
The ball-bearing may spool a few hundred rpm sooner. If you are gonna run a big a/r exhaust side, I would definately go ball-bearing to help in drivability. If it's a daily driver, I prefer a smaller a/r so you aren't always feeling like your flooring it to feel abit of fun.
Turbo response is everything to me. Just my 2 cents.
