Clutch opinions welcome!
Ok, so i'm deciding what next clutch kit to get. Back in April my old clutch setup ( was done by previous owner ) took a dump. So i got an OEM kit from Exedy P/N KSN02. But that kits days are numbered so time to upgrade.

Had an ebay type PP made by a company called Paraut, had a 4 puck sprung disc, clutch feel was similar to stock i really liked how it felt. It gripped fairly well.
I will be running prolly about 10 PSI of boost max , i'd like to keep the clutch pedal feeling as stock as possible because it's my DD. Here's where i may be peicing together some parts.

Thinking of getting either Exedy stage 1 ( seen it on ebay for around 230 ) , Exedy OEM PP with ACT 4 puck sprung disc ( that i will be buying from either Greg V or Gofastdepot ) or JWT PP with OEM disc. I'd like to stay around 250-270 bux for a kit. Not exactly sure what is more important, an upgraded PP or an upgraded disc.

It prolly won't see any track time soon as i like to drive it like i stole it, but not beat the hell out of it.

If anyone has had any experiences with any of these types of clutches please post. TIA

Oh and by the way, is Redline MT90 Heavy Shockproof the best gear oil for our tranny's? Gofastdepot has some for a nice price. Thanks

Ok, so i'm guessing there's no right or wrong answer.

I really want the Exedy OEM PP with ACT 4 puck disc.

Just because of the stock feel.

If you're boosted.Do it right the first time & quit hoping what you have will hold the power.Get the cc twinplate setup from greg v.

Just my 2 cents.

Get a clutchnet type1 pressure plate or type1x, and a stockish disc of some sort.

So kids the moral of this story is.....Dont let other ppl drive your car and when you change your clutch get prothane mounts My car eats stock mounts up.that mistake cost me almost $1500 cause i had to buy another gear box then found out when it was being put in the car it was a non LSD Got it in the car now and as for the mounts not done yet im broke but will be in the car in a few weeks.

stock pp won't hold 10psi well... even on a t25. The pressure plate is what matters.

Where's the best place to get those? I really wanted to get a JWT PP , but i hear stories on the other forum the pedal feel is not stockish....

i definitly wouldnt get a 4 puck clutch with a near stock pressure plate, there are reasons for the higher pressure holds, and if you dont want it to have a ''non stock'' clutch feel, then stick with a oem clutch... you will not hold power with a crappy plate

Right now i am running an Exedy OEM replacement clutch kit P/N KSN02, it holds 8 PSI until 5K rpms, then it starts to slip, i really like the pedal feel, i just hate how it slips after 5K rpms. I ddnt like the chatter on take off with the 4 puck disc, but i liked how it gripped with a " stock " feel.

I don't want a full face disc because of the slippage at high rpm's. Maybe the PP being stronger resists slippage, maybe not.

What i do know is the previous setup was strong except for the no name brand 4 puck disc.
