That's a really good idea, but I can tell you what I've done...

Get some studs that have rolled threads, so that they are psuedo locking in the manifold. The two nut tightening method for the studs works great, once you're done hand tightening them.

Then, after the studs are secure, use nylon nuts that don't back themselves off, and problem solved.

I don't think loctite can handle the temps from the manifold/turbine?

EDIT: Just double checked.

The loctite red only handles up to 300 degrees farenheit. Definitely not going to work.

I use locking copper nuts. ATP sells them. They are round and go to an oval and have a cut in them. Once you tighten them down, they can't back off at all. They work great, only issue is you replace them every time you take them off.

coach- A good amount of the higher end german cars use the copper locking nuts, so I keep them in stock at work. They work well and are not too pricey. I think that they are the best solution for this common problem.
