quick question
guys can i remove this sensor?and cap everthing off?

That is an air regulatory valve. I bet you could take it off but most likely your car won't hold idle when you start it.

That's not a sensor, that's a passive idle valve for fast idle (while engine is cold) and allows more air for cold start.

your car will not idle cold with out it at least not very well.

ok cool.ive seen guys with the custom manifold do those guys use them?

I don't. Doesn't affect the car's idle one bit.

All it is, is a few discs IIRC, that are open when they're cold. When the coolant passage underneath the manifold heats up the aluminum in that area, the plates close and that lowers the idle.

It's also heated by an internal electric heater which explains the electrical plug.

Nope. Only have the IACV. Idles just fine. Didn't feel the need for it since I'm running with an o2 induction manifold. There's already a bunch of crap all over the bay, didn't want to add something else to the rats nest.

very strange it had no affect. There are a few G20's that had cold start problems and people replacing that part or cleaning it seemed to help or fix the problem.

I'm amazed at the amount of crap you can unplug or remove in an engine bay and still have the car operate perfectly fine.
