Turbo setup questions.
I have a w10/11 on the way and I have been searching but I cant find the answers to some things.

1. Can I bolt a gt28rs(disco potato) onto the stock avenir manifold and use the stock water/oil lines?

2. If not the avenir manifold, can I use a gtir manifold with the stock lines?

3. Anything else I need to do to get the disco tubo to fit?

4. I plan on running a JWT ecu, 550 cc injectors at 4 bar, nismo fpr, cobra maf, walbaro pump, assuming I have enough fuel and a good enough tune how much psi can I run with this turbo?

5. Will I lose a lot of power if I just run a 2.5 setup with maybe an STI muffler like that Vadim guy?

Any help is appreciated.

You might need to shave the block for the turbo clearence and as for the line if there's any issue maybe u can just kink the lines.

The lines should come close to fitting. They may need a bit of persuasion to fit. If you cant get them to fit there are a few companies that make line kits like go fast depot, circuit sports makes a nice kit for the rwd sr. I am pretty sure their kit would work with fwd as well or at least most of it.

If you have an avenir manifold the turbo will fit or a gtir, with the regular w10 bb manifold you may have fitment issues because the manifold doesnt have as much clearace due to the way the turbo t2 flange is positioned.

You will be loosing some power with the 2.5" set up. I think most people with t25/28 set ups gain 15-20 whp just by changing to 3".

I think on pump gas i wouldnt run much over 18-20 psi Race gas is a different story, i have ran 21-22psi on a 10:1 de with race gas and a 2871r.

Be sure to get a boost gauge and an oil pressure gauge to start with, also a decent mbc or ebc. Most of the home made ones or ebay ones the boost level is scetchy, and likes to change itself alot.

Anyone know where the turbo starts to lose its efficiency and make lots of heat? I want to make power but I don't want to overdue it.
