What's the best tire size for boost???
Currently running SE-L's with 205/50/15's at 7psi (Spin City) I was thinking about upgrading to 17's with a wide tire for less spin.

What size tires are you guys running for the best grip?
Should I stay with the 15's or go with the wide 17's?
Please post Input......

15's and run 225/45/15's if you can fit em, or even 225/50/15's

Yeah, I kinda wanna keep my SE-L wheels, they are so Unique. 225/45 should fit on a B14 with no rubbing. I'm bout to put some rebuilt Motivational coilovers on it with Cusco camber plates so I wanna knock it all out at once.

with FWD off the line traction is always going to be an issue, but if your running some crappy M+S rated all seasons I would just upgrade to tires with more grip.

Try easing up on the throttle when it spins....it's called finesse and a little bit of common sense.

....and yes, I'm being a dick.

i agree with him. how much power are you running to the wheel? the fact of the matter is if you dont have slicks youre likely to have traction issues so try not drag alot on regular street tires before you break something.

You'd really need to get the right offset to fit those tires. My 215/50/15's on my Rota Slips barely just touch the spring seat on the strut tower.

The rear will definitely hit. Luckily, I already had the spring seat cut when I was rolling on 18s.

Believe it or not fellas, I'm not lead footing it because I have only driven the car 2 days. It's parked until warmer weather comes. 2 of my tires were worn previous to the swap so I'm gonna get new ones, I just wanna know what's best for boost, and whether or not I should go ahead and upgrade to 17's.

I moved to a 16" wheel/tire combo w/ a 215/45/16 and it didn't spin as much as the same tire in a 205/50/15.
