Is that the chain oiler? Hard to tell from pics.

I have no idea what it is. It looks like a damn HLA, but not quite. He says it's about 1 inch in length. Not sure what that other metal piece is. I'm going over there after work and picking up shoes. THANK GOD IT'S NOT SOMETHING WORSE! Time will tell, though... I'm still wanting to know WTF is up with the oil being devoured.

Thanks Just talked to Nate. That's a press in item He says that I may be lucky, and it wasn't pressed in correctly and the high oil pressure from the VE pump pushed it out, so we may be able to 2 part epoxy it in. I never really hit 0 psi of oil pressure either, so maybe the bearings are salvageable. Sucks that I have to pull the damn motor, though.

Looks like I can do my power steering delete mod after all, and check the tranny to see wtf is up with the clutch being so stiff compared to others with the same setup.

The only thing I am not 100% sure on is temperature, since there is not temperature range provided for it except for application (-40 to 200F).
