Possible burnt clutch
I never had a clutch problem before but this past weekend I had the car dynoed in 4th gear and afterward the clutch didn't feel the same. I aggravated the situation by trying to do a quick take off right after the dyno. Nothing violent like dropping the clutch over 4,000 rpm, just a little slip and moderate throttle. Before this the clutch would grab and spin the wheels with ease, but this time the car did not peel out and a real bad smell fill the car. The engine shot to 8,000 rpm.
Now the car would smell like electrical burn everytime I take off from the stop light, just normal driving.
The clutch pickup is now higher on the release.
I need you turbo guys advice since you all make crazy power and have more experience with this subject.
Can I leave the clutch alone and it will fix itself or do I have to go in and replace everything.
The engine is only making 215. The clutch setup is Act heavy duty with stock clutch.
Any advice is appreciated.
