Finaly the RR motor .. gave-up....
After almost 5 years and more than 50.000 km of racing the roller sr20 threw rod out of the block ( number 3)well I was using it at 22 lbs daily without probs( 500whp dynojet).. the night the motor giveup I was doing more than 20 pases from 100mph to 160 mph in 5 gear ..and the last one.. was the RIP ja ... anyways, Im placing the sr20ve-t on it.. results maybe this week , PICS later ...
All I can say is this motors can take almost everything you can throw on them.

Cheers.

they just have thinner ring lands just avoid detonation and you will be fine, i booosted mine for a while b4 switching in det pistons adn even with the "weaker rods and 4 ctw crank" mine held up amazing

and his trick was alcohol

Congratulations man, seriously i think everyone that has ever followed your car was wondering when that motor was gonna give. Yeah number 3 it is. I think what has been found was that the #3 was the last bearing to get oil and with miles and miles on the motors i think just wear from other bearings such as the mains and other rods have nowhere else to go but get stuck in the oil passage,

Again i took a buddies 160k motor with a 60 trim t3t04 with an .82 turbine housing and pushed 28psi into a bone dead stock old worn out motor and it held up with no detonation. That is the key ingredient is no detonation period. I figure with stock cams and 28psi i was probably around the 450whp range with the rest of the setup i had. But other than the #3 rod loosing oil pressure and just destroying the bearing the rest of the motor was fine, haha, i did about 10-11 runs through 3rd and 4th gear just pounding off the rev limiter from spinning the tires like crazy and it held up until it got rod knock, i tried to change the bearings out but it didnt do any good, first hard run the bearing seized and out the bottom of the block went the rod.

But hey at least i know my new tune is hella awesome on race gas. So that was my main thing, Test my tune on a junk motor before throwing in a 2k build that is going in next. So people go oooo you blew another one. Well in all honesty i could care less. Again you know your tune is perfect now you just need the rest of the parts to back it up for another 5 years to come or longer and make even more power. So again i commend you on your work it has been alot of fun and we better get some pics of the carnage, i always do the favor, hahaha

Thanks guys !! ahaha

I was a little worried about how the walls of the cilinders where... becouse on the meth.. but they where in excelent shape ( change oil every 1500 miles) the bearings also are in very good shape...the wirst pin broke in half and that may be the couse of the rod failure... the crank bearings are good also.. and the crank it self recive some hits from the rod but otherwise its perfect.
Now some pics
