Going over your turbo's efficiency is bad enuff, much less adding the higher a/f.

LikeTheMovies, you've been given good advice, and it seems like you're taking it. You are right, you're unsafe, as you're going well above the efficiency of your turbo. This is exactly what I mean when I say "you're doing it wrong". You are doing it wrong, but you're headed in the right direction. I don't mean to say you should lean things up (pretty sure I was worried about you being too lean). I'm going to start a new thread about A/F ratios so yours doesn't get any more cluttered.

I know you're on the right track. I had no doubts.

Yeah thanks, this is just helping me out to because I never really understood a/f's. I'm in a fuels class right now, hints the dynoing. I will have the new wastegate on this weekend and if I can get a chip next week will be some new dynos and if i get the safc on some tuning.

I agree, tune your car to whatever air to fuel ratio you are comfortable with. Usually shops do tend to tune a bit rich, for liability reasons. As for likethemovies i would richen it up a bit depending on where you are gonna keep your boost at.

Remember every engine runs differently so what may work for 1 person may not work for everyone. You wanna know which crowd likes overfueling? Just check out the dsm crowd, those guys like running low 11's or 10's and a **** ton of boost.
