It depends on where you want to make your power. Stick with the small cams if you want a street car. Go to the sr16 or 20v cams if you want an upgrade from those. The N1 cams are rediculous for turbo.

Most guys prefer to run the standard sr20ve cam on a tubular manifold and they have truly amazing results. I will be doing some cam testing in the coming months...

Paul, at this stage it looks like I'm gonna send my VET cams to Kelford for Kevin to analyse and come up with a decent grind which would work for both you & I, since our end goals are in the same ballpark. As far as I'm aware neither they or Franklin's (or anyone else who's willing to share the info) actually know what the VET's high exhaust lobe is.

Clint was saying to me a few weeks ago that Carl Reuiterman was testing 20V and N1 cams in his drift car, and even at that extreme (~700hp) neither were suitable.

With that said, 20VE cams would make a great starting point for your build.

I have spoken to Kelford and they are currently working with Mazworx for turbo ve cam designs.... and they also mentioned that they have made very good grinds for other turbo VE's but didn't give any details of these.

Currently waiting to hear from Kevin on what they can offer

Wow, can't wait to see what they are up to. I would like to see a cam with a better powerband than the standard cams running <9000rpm. I don't really want to have to rev over 8K if I don't need to. But high revs makes high power in a lot of cases. I wonder how these standard cams are gonna do against the VET cams?

Too bad my testing is a couple months out.

hopefully kelford/mazworx can bring something good for the ve turbo's SOON...i am really keen to see the difference a good turbo grind will make over the 20ve's.
