Good luck with the little turbo ... (wrx)
At least buy some water injection and cams sprokets if you want the motor to last some time.
Cheers.

What do you say that? Doesn't the wrx have almost a t28 .... I t28 flows about 430 440 cfms and the wrx turbo flows 400 cfms ... I know the wrx has a ****ty waste gate that gives it bad turbo lag .... Y do u think I need water injection and came sprockets? ... I was going to sell my engine and go with a set up miko told me but decided not to ... Any info helps

This makes no sense but you will see.

When it comes time to make the custom manifold it will get intresting.

I was thinking 550cc injectors with suitable fuel pump and pressure regulator. Someone suggested I'd need 740cc but I think that's overkill given I'm only really interested in achieving 250-280hp atw? Also, I'm going custom built manifold, thinking equal length but I'm open to suggestions from people who know more about this than I do.

Stock Turbo ---------- 360 CFM at 14.7 PSI
1 HP approx equals 1.45 CFM

1 CFM approx equals 0.0745 lb of air/min

0.108 Lb/min approx equals 1 hp

422 CFM max flow for a 2 Liter at .85 VE pressure ratio 2.0 (14.7 PSI) 7000 RPM
Do the math....
The big prob with this setup its the n1 cams with such a small turbo.. this will create a lot off backpressure in your motor.

This is the silliest thing ever.

We got a 1.6 motor making 200 HP at 7800 RPMs.

and a

2L Turbo motor making 227 Hp at 6000 RPMS @ 14 PSI.

The 1.6L motor makes the power up high, the 2l turbo makes the power in the midrande. This motor will not know what to do with itself but run backwards. This is going to be the first time you see a motor with so much cam over lap run such a small turbo. I wonder if it will even get a chance to boost or just blow the air right through the exhaust.

Can you just see paying someone $500-$700 just to make a monifold for this turbo. Making the DP for this is going to be intresting to.

This is the silliest thing ever.
