It just looks like it is really close, it has like 3" of clearance easy. The stuff is good for 400*F.

Thanks Ben! This setup should allow me to play with some cams with very good results! Here's my review so far!

Car is done, just needs some quick tuning and some fan wiring and it is finished for the most part.

The clutch: Amazingly smooth. I thought the sintered iron composite would be very harsh, and would chatter. It doesn't. Feels like a stock clutch. Not sure if it will hold the power, but gear shifts are very very fast, and smooth.

The turbo, sounds amazing with no exhaust. You can really hear the turbo scream! The wastegates come open around 6psi and level boost to 10psi. The boost hits very very hard at 4K with full boost by then. At 5K the turbo response is amazing. Not quite up there with the Disco potato, but very very close and the top end pull is just incredible.

The tune: Not the best, the JWT tune is still only allowing 15* of timing throughout the mid-range of the map, and the dizzy is set at 10* right now. When I get my 15* of timing back the car is going to wake up even more. I kinda like it like this though, because I hold traction in 2nd easily, so it isn't quite as fast as 15psi was before. But givin the extra timing, the car will just spin tires for sure. Feels like 300whp easy on this low boost, prob in the neighborhood of 310-320.

The heat range 9 plugs don't like my new ignition cut rev limiter and fouled out on my way home. I had to drive full-throttle the whole way lol, it was worth it.

I am going to throw in the 8s and see how they hold up to this rev limiter. It sounds like gunshots when it hits.

Overall the car is very very responsive, but needs some tuning and some boost leaks fixed. Then I am goin to the dyno to see if I can make the same power as before with 5psi less boost!

Are you considering other tuning options? Maybe a standalone?

Because the car has to be legal for street driving, I am not going to get a standalone yet. I would love to, but only OBD1 cars can have them here.

I am going to play with my timing today and wire up my rad fans real quick, then get some video.

manifold turned out good. i love ignition cut limiters, sound soo good. Not the best on your drivetrain, cats and mufflers though. but still nothing beats the sound of external gate blaring and wacking ign cut limiter.

Video from inside. I was going to really nail it, but I had someone in front of me and I was already hauling. Safety first.

Boost onset isn't crazy impressive, but that isn't what Twin scroll is all about. About 3700rpm gets a full 10psi, but you can feel the wastegates try to open just before that. I think I could get more response with a EBC. Prob get a full 10psi by 3500rpm. It builds boost a lot faster than before sure, but let's talk about the boost response...

It is retarded! I finally got a good set of plugs in the car and put the timing a little more advanced, just by eye though. At 4K the turbo will build boost very quickly when the throttle is stabbed. By 5K it is nearly instantaneous! It builds 7psi instantly and then you hear the wastegates open right as it starts to sweep to 10. It is amazing. at 5K the response is exactly like the response from my old disco powered DET at 4K. This is nice because I know that the VE will make better top end power in the long run.

The power feels like over 300whp, but not sure how much. I will get her on the dyno soon and we can see what she does. 10psi is very good.

The light flywheel helps traction a lot, and the response makes throttle modulation feel like NA. As long as I am not nervous I should be able to hold traction in 2nd gear.

The clutch feels really great and I got to feel it really grab today. It is very very smooth when cold, but when hot it gets grippy, and a bit noisy. It sounds like the PP is smashing baby mice in the clutch assembly lol. When it gets warm it starts to squeak just a bit. But driveability is still really good. Just as good as the last 6puck I had. That is all for now guys, but if the video doesn't leave you impressed at all if you have seen my other ones, then just remember that I am only running 15* of timing throughout much of the map, and the map seems to be geared more towards higher boost levels. I am really excited to see what she does on 15psi now. Should clear 400whp easily.

Took the car on a cruise last night. Everything went on without a hitch. The car runs great, but the idle is a little screwy and needs to be reset. The light fly is great, and 10psi is so responsive it feels NA. the only downside to the power is the band. With only 10psi there isn't a lot of torque, and power is very peaky.

I want to dyno with these cams but I think I will be very dissappointed with the results on 10psi. I think I am going to need the bigger cams now. Somehow I have to get more air in the cylinders to get more use out of this tune. I still have my stock VE cams I could throw in, but part of me just wants to throw in some SR16 cams and call it good.

What brand is your clutch? I have an identical looking disk (Spec Stg 5) and the PP feels like stock. It does squeak when you engage it I've been running that same clutch with 300-400HP for 3 years and it still runs like new. I don't think you need to worry about it

Did you try to switch the exhaust cam coheed?
