May I ask what ignition system you are using?

If you are building boost in the 2 step it is doing the same function of the drag launch anti-lag. I have an AEM also.
In the antilag it is retarding timing to the point where combustion happens close enough to the turbine to build boost, which is what you are describing as happening on your 2 step. So yes it will help burn up your turbo quicker, just keep up on the oil changes and use a turbo timer, dont boost on the lauch too often and it ill be fine.

The rally style anti-lag is what really kills turbos

Yes it is, but it is doing it in the same fashion and creating an a$$ wack of heat in the turbine transferring the heat into the bearings wich is no bueno on BB since they cant be cheaply rebuilt like journal.

Yes BB handle it better, but also costs $900 for a new chra, and the journal that dies sooner will cost $200 to rebuild
