Teflon tape?
Wasnt sure where to post this Q but here goes. I took my FPR off the other day to change the angle of it. When i tried to tape the threads and it came in contact with the gas the tape just fell apart and shrivled up? Is there a special tape for this type of use? Thanks

I always use loctite thread sealer or red RTV. Both are supposed to be fuel resistant. I've never actually looked to see if that's documented, but I've never had a problem.

yo tef will def break up when it comes in contact with tape. you have to use something else.. gas will pertty much eat up anything. but whats wrong with rtv?

ideally, Steve you shouldnt need to use anything. those are NPT fittings i think. this means they have a slight taper to them and seal themselves. anywho. put a small dab of solvent resistant RTV on the threads and crank it down and your good to go.

no problem. I remember running into the same issues when I installed my fuel pressure gauge. this stuff will not leak even with lots of fuel pressure.
