what pistons and why ?
Im looking into getting some forged pistons for my car ,my question is what pistons do you guys use and reccomend, i notice some are made out of different alloys, high and low silicon etc... so my question is what are most of you running in your cars ? what kind of power are you putting down with these, im lookin at the JE's wiseco's and CP pistons

CP's in the car right now. Approx. 300~350whp daily at 15psi. Can't say for sure, needs a tune and a dyno.

Weisco doesn't make the 8.5.1 they only carrry the 9.1 so if you are runnung 8.5 (stock det) can't happen. I got CP and they are sexxyyy paired with Eagle rods. I got them for 774 shipped to me from a store on Ebay called realstreetperformance.

Wiseco,je & cp are are all good quality pistons that are all made from 2618 T6 forged alloy..so piston to bore tolerances are going to be the same & i dont think you could go wrong with either of these brands.
All will handle as much power/boost as each other

Mahle, cheap, good and has a deeper valve relief without any mods,

Any of the brands you stated will work. I am a JE and CP fan.

We ran the 87mm Wisecos in the G20 .... 22lbs boost tad over 400WHP ... never had an issue .... I have also ran the Wisecos in a couple of other SR builds and they have never had an issue .... I ran JE's in my NA Altima and they worked great .....

I am pretty sure the Wiseco and CP pistons are high silicon. They have a lot smaller tolerance than the JE on piston/wall tolerances. I Like the wiseco, they come with a skirt coating. But the CP is a really good price. I would just go with one of the deals on Ebay for the combo. I think no matter what pistons come with it, as long as they are stock bore and forged, you will be happy. I have used the wisecos and they are nice, but a lot of guys in the SR20 camp love the CPs. You know where I stand as far as which is the best for all out power.

If they are the same price, the wisecos are really nice and would be my choice over the cp. But only if they are the same price. I wouldn't spend more money to get the wiseco over the CP. JE doesn't have a huge selection for compression ratios for off-shelf price.

ive used cp's with no problems, from what ive heard and researched the cp's are very very good. Great design with alot of R&D behind their products. cheap, usually can be had for $480 shipped. Piston and rod combo with Cp and eagles for 770 shipped. Love it, i know several people that use them with very very high hp motors. never a problem,
