Well here is a good way to look at it, I think the mechanical is more accurate???, but you risk fluids in the car??? Now with electrical is basically more wiring and "probably" not as accurate.....oh and 9 out of 10 times mechanical is cheaper especially with pressure gauges.

Maybe you didn't tighten it enough or made it to tight? I know alot of people that won't run the nylon, but I am and so far no problems..(fingers crossed) No if it breaks then its time to move on to copper or stainless!

Autometer Procomp Ultra-Lite with stainless steel braided lines ftw!

I like mechanical... one less thing to fail, but like said many times before, it is all preference
