Like I said it's all on what you prefer.

I for one rather know exactly what the motor is saying. I hate the fact that the motor tells the sender then the sender tells me.

I am very old school at heart for certain things. So I strongly prefer mechanical gauges over electrical gauges.

^^^X2. I am running an Autometer CF series Mechanical guage. Just be sure that you use the copper line and not the nylon that they supply you with.

So I take it the copper makes the gauge or sender more reliable?

yes. the nylon tubing will quickly fail from the combination of oil and heat.

Really? Your failure of faith is based on lazy electrons?

I understand why people want to run mechanical style but when it is laid out like that I don't really know. You are basically saying that electrons are lazy. This is semantics though. I think either way is good and cost effective.

I have been using my nylon now for 2 years and never a problem.

Leng is the same way as you. He thinks its crazy to run electric.

I ran VDO electric, no issues, worked great. Was with me when I started losing compression on my engine and had oil dripping out of my cone filter, showed the loss of oil pressure long time before I had major problems.
