Oil issues + more?
Okay guys,

Well I have been having some oil issues with my car for a while. First oil would spray everywhere so we looked around and notice the dipstick did not fit right. Turns out the DE dipstick was in my DET, so I found the correct one and it fit like a charm.

Then when I thought I was in the clear oil issues were still there. It was all in the top of my valve cover, so my friends and I figured it was the valve cover gasket. So of course the next step was to replace it, which we did and upon finishing up found that the center bolt was broken and wouldnt tighten. So tap the center out a replace the bolt with a larger one was the solution. Did that, but I am still having issues. When I drove my car a month ago it starts smoking really bad and virtually burned/ leaked all of my oil.

I added more oil and now and when I drive everything is fine until around 4100rpm's the car seems to hit a wall acceleration wise, there is still thick smoke and when I pop the hood you can see that oil is coming from somewhere.

I don't know what to do, I just want a good running DET. Does anyone know the cause of these problems, or what I can do. Any help is appreciated, thanks...

If it's hard to tell where the oil leak is coming from, try cleaning things up as well as you can, then stuff clean paper towels everywhere. Put them in the valve cover valley, all around the valve cover, between the intake and the valve cover, around all of your PCV hoses and such. Maybe tape them in place with some packing tape or similar.

Drive around for a bit and then see what you've got.

Alright, I think I am going to try that right about now.

If I can't find the problemthere, then I do not know.

Something that I just thought of regaurding my acceleration issues.

I recently installed a Greddy Profec B Spec II, and I am boosting around 10-11 pounds... perhaps do you think I am maxing out my 370cc injectors which is why it wont accelerate?

I made the 219whp @ 7psi and now I am boosting at 10-11psi... maybe I am making 250whp or above which is maxing my injectors or my maf... or my stock ecu is confused.

Opinions?

It is a possibility. Turn your boost down to 7 and see if the drivability issues persist or not.
Where is the oil on after you drive it? Hopefully not all over the engine bay like the last time I saw it.

Well I have the W10 maf which is good for 290whp, thats the reason I thought maybe the injectors... but yeah. I will change my boost settings and see if it persists..

The oil is very little in the valve cover alley... I also see some on the alternator and a few other places i can't think of right off.

I am getting it all paper towel and taped up and I will drive it on Saturday like BenFenner suggested, see where its the heaviest.

Besides the leak, any reason I get smoke everytime i push it?

Could be valve guides or turbo seals going out.
