Tial 38mm help
I recently switched over to an external wastegate, and all i have to say is wow Dont know why i did not do this earlier.

Question is what is the top nipple for on the tial? I have the bottom nipple going to a pressure source and it holds 5psi rock solid. I had a Profec B spec 2 which i ditched and might use a manual BC i have laying around. Is it straight forward like the internal gate? Or is thier something i have to do with the top nipple.

Thanks in advance.

The top nipple is were you would hook up your boost controler.

So the top nipple would go to a pressure source also with the MBC in between? Would this require disconnecting the side nipple? Just trying to see the reasoning and how it works in contrast to an internal wastegate.

my top nipple is left alone, never capped off, i have my boost controller connected to the side hose with the screw.

Feels much better in the upper boost range with the external gate, not to mention the sound

The older profec B worked great and is an easy setup, the gain/set gain options on the Spec 2 were a pain to setup.
