Thread: Sensors for DET swap

Okay after researching on the old forum and this one I still haven't come up with a complete list of sensors that need to be transferred onto the det when using the usdm harness and ecu. I have a shell with all of the wiring harness and the ecu but no sr20de to pull the sensors off of and put onto the Avenir. If we could get a list of sensors that need to be transferred over it will help a lot of people and me as well.

The first question to be answered is what year is you car. This is very important to answer the questions


Is it a 91-92 or a 93-94.

93-94

Ok

You will need

91-94 Head Temp Sensor. ( Get this new from G Spec )

93-93 Gauge Temp Sensor ( Be very Specific about this ) It has a blue ring on it. ( Get this new From G Spec )

91-94 ( Igniter chip $10 used from me )
91-94 Coil ( $15 used from me )

B13 distributor if you dont have one. ( $40 used from me )

After that you are straight.

The TPS should be identical if you get the 3 wire TPS.

Knock sensor is a good thing to replace while you have the motor out, trust me on this one

IACV should be fine too.

Miko, thanks for getting back to him. I didn't know for sure if there were any differences between B13 and B14 (Especially my 98 with a billion damn useless sensors and solenoids).

He needs a knock sensor for sure, as the one he has currently bolted to the block was broken, and it looks like the PO used tape to re-connect it. I know the TPS is different from lowport to highport, right? I remember Miko saying something about that. Like there's three different TPS's, or at least two from what I remember.

I picked up a knock sensor from Brad when I picked up the car so that should be good Tek.

Its getting there man slowly but surely. I'm looking towards April/May time frame if all goes well.
