Exhaust Mix Between Performance and Quietness
With all the recent exhaust talking, I've been thinking about redoing my exhaust past the DP.

Right now I have a 2.5" VRS Downpipe, going to a 2.5" Magnaflow 6" resonator, to 2.37 piping that ends up in like a 2" Altima Muffler.

It's sucking too much power from the turbo application, so I'm thinking about revamping it a bit.

Options are 2.5" all the way out, or 3" all the way out. The thing about 3", it will be harder to find a muffler to quiet it down, and putting a muffler that's 2.5" will just restrict and make the 3" midsection useless.

Turbo is quiet. Go with 3".

Do you have a sound clip by any chance?

My biggest problem is I have neighbors and if I have a loud car pulling into my garage, I'll be hearing from my landlord...

I don't have any sound clip.
I'm 3" NA, so I try not to start my car after 10pm.

Flowmaster 3" muffler (with two (or three!) 3" dynomax resonators) if you must be quiet.

I was thinking of maybe a Magnaflow, I don't know how well non round resonators will fit hehe.

I was also thinking about a cut out...

I know this will be reiterated like 50 times, but the best option for you would to just add in a cuttout and keep what you got (that is quiet). If you think that you will be staying with the t25, I don't see any reason to go much bigger than 2.5", especially if you are going to keep your 2.5" downpipe. That's just my opinion. I had a lot of fun in my sentra when it had a smaller exhaust.

I know you've had your issues with using the larger truck muffler, but in my opinion... anything else in 3" will be a decent amount louder than it... even if you add a resonator and a muffler. I'm tellin ya. In the end it really depends what you consider tolerable in an everyday car, some people don't mind a little tone and resonance, some people find that it grows really annoying after a few years.

Cut out is a great option. They have vacuum (boost) activated ones that I'd consider (get to avoid all the mechanical or electrical nonsense with the other ones).

Vad, 3" all the way. I don't even have a resonator, and mine is a lot quieter than most Hondas running around the street. I like to compare it to a Subi STi, without the boxer sound, but as quiet.

I know it's kinda hard to hear it just right, but I can assure you that it's about 10 times quieter than that integra, which is running with stock exhaust.

I had a different clip running around here somewhere...

Well the status of the car has changed from everyday daily to more of when I feel like driving a fast car over the P11 . But even then I would like to make this a somewhat descent highway driver when I go out of town on a business trip.

The thing is the huge magnaflow resonator that you and I have works great, but right now it's scraping on every single speed bump that I run into. It hits the sides of the exhaust shaft. I just want to finally get this exhaust fixed to have something that's better quality and will open up more horses.

I have been considering a cut out, electrical would be fine, but my coworker mentioned to me that how often would I bother keeping it open or closed all the time. He said just get and exhaust that's free flowing from the start.

I'm considering 2.5" to an STI muffler. That would sound pretty good, just gotta fine one cheap enough .

I saw that clip and it is a bit louder then I would like. If you have any more sound clips post them up .
