Afterr that I am looking into a ve head. How does a ve head work on a gtir block? Is it alot of work? whats involved?

you would need to block off the stock oil feed to the head. then run a line from the block to the ve head. you would also need to have the head drilled to use the larger gti-r head studs. I would just use the the gti-r head with some meth injection and run 20+ psi on pump gas.

Nah, I am ot doing a ve head. I must have taken to many xanax lastnight when i wrote that

Anyway my plan is to run about 24psi on race and see what happens..........

I really don't feel like dealing with that meth injection.

race gas will eat your 02 sensor. meth injection will not. its also much cheaper and aem makes a good complete kit. I have also run 18psi on a stock gtir motor on pump gas with no issues.

I don't think my o2 sensor even works...lol

I have been using 110 octane for 3 years now and never had a problem, so i will continue to. And how is the aem cheaper? I only go to the track a few times a year and only put 2 gallons in, so I don't think its that beneficial to run a meth injection at the moment. Maybe down the road i will, but will see. I'll keep it under 18psi on 93.

the aem meth kit is not that exspensive and is a complete kit. Also widow washer fluid is much cheaper than race gas. I would get a new 02 sensor you will get crappy gas milage with out it. your car still uses it during closed loop operation.

I will definitely think about it, thanks for the suggestion i just never ran meth before and frankly don't know anything about it. I also don't have a window washer tank anymore since I got the new intercooler kit, but I could still fit a tank down there....we will see and I'll definitely pick up a extra o2 sensor.

Here are some pics of the rocker arms i broke. This is on a regular de+t.

And what it did to the head. Note the rocker arm stoppers were not in at the time of the breakage.

Enjoy.
