^Does the N1 manifold fit with the VE thermal spacers? I need to find pics of both so I can see the differences. I only considered running the stock one for my plans.

the multi piece design will allow me to change the inlet flange in order to suit other engines.
bolt pattern should be different on other redtops, but port shape should be the same as far as I know.

REgarding strenght, hypertune manifolds are also done that way and there are 1000hp cars running hypertune manifolds.
Prefect seal will be granted by o-rings and 5mm screws.

Gotcha, thanks for the info I don't quite have the intake side of things figured out, yet.

These type of manifolds flow better than flush mount style ones. The flush mount design is just more cost effective and easier to build.

I had no idea that they would flow better. Now I do

I understand that they're velocity stacks, just didn't understand that you'd want them like that, when enclosed in a plenum. I guess my thoughts were that you'd want air to be as smooth as possible when entering the combustion chamber, but now it makes sense that it should be as turbulent as possible, to aid in the combustion process (I think? )

I need to do more reading, now. Thanks for the responses.

If you have the regular sr20ve spacers, only the head to runner spacer will work with the N1 mani. You wont be able to use the spacer between the runners and plenum, or the TB. I thought that Outlaw finally made a spacer set for the N1 mani though?

EDIT: Here you go. Scroll down a bit and it says **Outlaw Engineering has a limited number of spacer sets for the JDM SR20VE and SR20VE N1. Please contact us for availability.

Flush velocity stacks will not flow better, because there will be turbolence in the plenum all around the surfaces.
that is why longer velocity stack will help breathing air with less turbolence, increasing flow.

I would like to point out that i am neither a trader, nor a tuner, and i am not making money on the manifolds.
One company in the USA has quoted me 220$ for each runner if i order 25 of them and over 310$ for 8 pcs.
to this we should add cost of alluminium, laser cutting for the flanges, machining of the TB flange, skimming of flanges,o-rings,screws,material for the plenum, welding, polishing and the work to give the shape to the plenum.
You will find that I won't make any money on them.
I just would like to share my project since there is nothing else available on the markert.
We should be realistic:very few companies will sell a dyno tested manifolds, and no one does for the SR20.
I will not invest my money in dyno sessions just to sell them, cause I don't make any money on them.
I will dyno run mine, but it is a fully built 2300cc engine with a GT35 turbo and i will make 550hp anyway.
The manifold will be efficient and has been designed with the help of the best guy for head work in Italy, with over 30 years of experience.
Looking at it you should imagine that it will outperform the std manifold.
I will build one for me anyway...
