Exhaust Mani Help..Teaser pics too

here is where I have a question for you guys?!?! As you see in the picture there isn't a stud there for the manifold to be connected to. What should be my process of doing this to make it work. Thanks in advance.

i dont get what you are saying ? is the stud broken off in the head ? if so you might have to drill and install a heli coil, if there is no stud at all and no threads then you will have to install a heli coil

You have a few options.

ARP Exhaust Stud, Washer, Nut - Enjuku Racing Parts, LLC

ARP Stainless Exhaust Stud - SR/KA/RB/VQ - Enjuku Racing Parts, LLC

ER Exhaust Manifold Studs - Nissan SR20DET - Enjuku Racing Parts, LLC

If it was you what would you buy? I just need the one not the whole kit

Honestly, I had no idea the state of my studs so I bought the whole ER kit. I ended up having one broken one, but I am happy knowing I have new hardware in there. Also they have nice male torx provisions on the ends so you can put them in and back them out without doing the double nut trick.

In your case, I'd just grab one of these: ARP Stainless Exhaust Stud - SR/KA/RB/VQ - Enjuku Racing Parts, LLC

But keep in mind it's going to come with a 12-point nut which you may or may not care about for aesthetic reasons (plus might get annoying if you have 6-point sockets).

You sure there isn't a portion of a snapped stud in there? It happened with mine, and it was stupid easy to get out with an extractor.

I will take a look it seems like there should be to be honest. Like i don't see why there wouldn't be a stud there. I also need to find the nuts that go over the studs that are there. Motor didn't come with a manifold but im sure home depot racing can help me out.

Upon further review there seems to be a stud that was broken off in there. Ben care to shine some light on how to get it out. Thanks
