Thread: You think we spend a lot on our turbo setups ...

Well I was trolling around a few other sites , and I stummbled on this ....I think I doller per HP ratio is way better then some of or Newer Honda compition ....and from the sounds of it their trans is weak also ...

Think of this , when we get upset about how much it cost to turbo you ride

I have spent almost 10k on the car itself (all things plus turbo). I got the car for free.

I dont' even want to attempt to add up all the money I have put into my car.

Either do I ....but for some of the old Fmax (style ) de guys , and the t28/25 powered guys , this kind of money is crazy

I have like 25k or so in my car and it isn't even running yet....

Yeah that is crazy money for a stupid rsx haha. I'm pretty sure I won't spend that kind of money but im in deep now. I'm addicted to boost and there is no end in sight.

From what I was readding ...alot of these guys are still on stock blocks ...and they have spent crazy money ...but where ?? I have no idea how much I have in mine , I know it is up there !! I look on that site to see how they are doing turbo build wise ...what size turbos ECT. since they are 2.0 vtech , and I look at it like compitition , for the whole VE+T thing , since there motor is supposedly better, but I think doller for doller , we still have them beat

O yeah definitely dollar for dollar we have them beat and they have such a huge market and we are limited to whats out there. That is what I don't get with how much they spend

I dont either .....I would have thought since they use alot of the same ( big ) turbos , and wastegates and BOVs , it would have been a lot closer ...I mean hell 10K and you have not even got into the engine ....it must be labor or somthing , pay some one else to due you dirty work , or to have the fun , depends on how you look at it , and the power #s I see all doable buy a well done SR for less

yeah it has to be labor because give me 10k and my sentra is golden haha. Motor would be built to be undestructable and you know the rest. I would much rather turn the wrench or be a part of the process then sending it to somebody else. Personal thing I guess but to each his own
