Gizzmo Thermal Phenolic Intake Gaskets(for GTi-R)
Finally a intake spacer for the gti-r!! In the US!
https://www.shopatron.com/product/part_number=G600X/684.0.29079.0.0.0.0

I will be ordering one and let you all know how the fitment is and take pics too.

Oh here is a quote from somebody who used it.
"Having seen many people shell out hundreds of dollars for performance mods of dubious value, I wanted as much data as possible to show that this intake manifold insulator thing really worked. I was able to show that: The intake ran 30 degrees F (17 degrees C) cooler at cruise and at least 50 degrees F (28 degrees C) cooler at idle; According to my dyno plots, I gained up to 7 horsepower and 11 ft-lbs of torque over the major portion of the power curve. My best time at the track was ~0.1 seconds quicker and ~1 mph faster. "

Now this wasn't on a gti-r, but atleast it gives you a idea....sounds good to me for 90 bucks! I am definitely going to try this out.

I am definitely ordering one on friday. I will be taking my intake manny off soon, so i might as well get it while its off.

btw do you notice your intake manifold to be alot cooler then the valve cove? Is it cool, warm, or still hot?

Wonder how it matches up to the Outlaw engineering spacers.

havn't run it yet, a got a few of them sorted out so people have run them, all have noticed the inlet stays cooler than the valve cover head.

theres actually a guy in the uk that was making some, alot cheaper than the gizzmo jobbie.

I will be taking my intake manifold off sometime within the next few weeks to finally get rid of some coolant leaks and want to put one of these spacers on while i got it off.

Give us some feedback once you install it. I would consider this for my GTi-R motor as well. She likes to run hot when running it hard. I wouldn't mind taking off the manifold to check for some vacuum leaks back there as well. I think the actual IM gasket might be leaking on my car.
