Turbo Problem, Need Help!!!!
ok, thursday, came home from the club, was drivng kinda fast, really opened it up on I-95,, bluebird w/t25 @10psi, got home, let it run in the driveway for about a minute or two (no turbo timer), next day i go to drive, and my acceleration is pist poor terrible, thought it was the tranny, but no, because there's no hard shift from gear to gear, just acceleration (keep in mind it's an automatic) when i go to step on it, give it throttle, like full throttle, it bogs, or chokes, the car sounds like the exhaust or somethin is choking the car, like like im not gettin enough boost..,it does it real bad from 20mph to about 50mph....it's kinda hard to explain but it's a slow and sluggish acceleration, i changed the fuel filter, removed the mbc (so i should be back at stock boost), did my oil change (royal purple 5w-30 synthetic & mobil 1 filter) drove it again and no luck, same problem....my boost gauage isn;t hooked up yet, i haven't had time, no boost leaks or known ones, every clamp is a truck clamp, but i will check tomorrow, i didn't check the spark plugs, only a month old (NGK iridiums), but anyone have any idea what could possibly be a problem?

I would check the ecu for codes, triple check for boost leaks, pull the plugs and have a look and then go from there.

Troubleshooting is just a process of elimination.

aight, so i eliminated, the fuel filter, boost controller, and i did routine oil change, so i have boost leak check, spark plugs, ecu check, take care of those tomorrow....
the more suggestions, the better, keep 'em coming...

How do you know that you are running 10psi if your boost gauge is not working? You probably have a boost leak.

probably a boost leak that got worse when you were getting on it on the highway.

Check the plugs, get some NGK BKR7E plugs and gap them around .030

problem solved, it was the spark plug, the **** was burnt and broke off, so I was only running on 3 cyclinders, got a new one...I use NGK Iridium IX's

why dont you just stick to the bkr7e plugs? They are great for turbo, people rarely ever have a problem with them. If your spark plug electrode broke off, you need to check the exhaust wheel in your turbo some time to see if it chewed up the turbine wheel/blades on its way out the exhaust.

You should also figure out where your a/f ratio is. Spark plug electrodes do not just break off for no reason. It sounds like you were running lean and/or experiencing some detonation.

You're probably better off with colder plugs like the NGK BKR7E's like Will said and start the gap at.030
