so...you're wanting to take the barb fitting out of block and replace with an -an?
even if you only have a couple inches, I still think your best bet would be a 5/8 ID hose. It may be a bitch to get on but it should work fine. It would really really be a pain in the ass to try to thread something when you only have 2" to work with and they don't make braided lines with fittings that short. You would have to make your own, and then you are talking about buying the press to put the fitting on and all. You may be able to check with earl's performance and see what they have...or Roadrunner Performance maybe one of them can make you something that will work.
I need 4"-6". The barb fitting literally is being blocked by the compressor inlet. In order for me to drain right now, the hose is actually looped. I'll try to describe it: Down at a 60* angle towards the crossmember, a 70* bend that runs along the crossmember towards the back of the motor, then another 50* bend up and to the left right at the front of the block, and then another 45* bend to plumb into the CHRA. It's about 9" of rubber hose, and AWFUL for the turbo. Imagine all that backfeed for the turbo, instead of being properly drained off?
Instead, a 90* fitting clocked towards the crank pulley and around 4"-6" of stainless line flexible enough to the CHRA would be perfect.
The feed line is also so close to the oil dip tube that you would need to remove the manifold and turbo in order to get to the feed line to torque it down. (I already torqued it down a bit, but it still leaks. I'm not going to strip out the block just trying to put a damn banjo bolt in that doesn't leak)
