I am a big fan of the 2871r. The 3071r in t3 is a fun turbo but not t2. If you want lag go t3 and a the Hx35 and call it a day. You will have some room to grow and have the lag you want.
I'd go GT28RS if it were me. Anything passed a 350 WHP and it's almost useless on a B13 trans. 1st is for shredding tires. It'll spool so fast and pull in the upper RPMS as well. I'd run one on my VE if I had the scratch. Talk about fun sh*t.

I am going to my buddies soon and am going to get a retune because i know this set-up is capable of more power then what i am getting.
^Good choice for you.

I have though about it too. Knowing that you can pick up 40whp at the same boost level on a ve
jon get the turbo that will make you happy. No one here on the forum will be buying it for you so spend your money how you like. Also many have not even run the turbos in question. Kleensleeper post up the dyno you were looking for and that would be enough for me to make my descion. I know that I can get another 20-30whp out of my turbo setup which is why I have not when bigger. If I did go bigger it would be a gt3071r. I would welcome the little bit of lag I would get. May would not brake the tires loose at 4k rpm in thrid gear.
I am also stuck between the gt2871r or gt3071r. I am wondering what the max efficient boost level on the gt2871r would be. I think around 18psi would be the limit on pump gas. Is 25psi to much with some race fuel mixed in? Would that be just blowing hot air? I think over 450whp would be useless and would actually be faster at the drag track because of the fwd limits imposed on a track/street car. I think that this level of power is attainable with a gt2871r.
