Just asking what about it made you a believer? Inquiring SR20 members want to know, because I sure do.Sorry for not giving all the info from the beginning. The 240 in question has a DET swap and AEM engine management. It is able to take
full advantage of the
many benefits E85 offers.

As for being a believer... I believed all the hype to begin with. You can't argue with facts. The knock tolerance is much higher (equivalent to 104 or 105 (R+M)/2 octane), and the evaporative cooling effects are greater than gasoline.
I was really only worried about it degrading rubber components, degrading aluminum components, the lower fuel mileage (more stops at the pump when you might not be sure where to find one), the greater demand on the fueling system (Walbro 255 seemed up to about 420 WHP, no more), the cold start problems inherently caused by the higher energy needed to evaporate ethanol, and the problems one might have finding it if you don't have stations that carry it where you're traveling on a road trip.
Since running it in the 240, those issues that seem problematic on paper don't end up causing any trouble.
