IIRC, doesn't the lowport head flow better/more than the highport head?

Other way round I think.

don't some of the IM just have holes drilled in the backs for the idle?? No need for iacv then right? Well, only if running stand alone. ecu still needs those things doesn't it?

I thought some people just cracked open the throttle a little bit with a set screw and that was it

im not sure either head flows more than the other, but ther differences in the camshafts and the placements of the intake manifold are what really changes the configurations of the horsepower specs on the motors

becuase i have searched and havent really read anything but opinions on the heads and no real solid flow bench evidence which is what really matters.

the more aggressive grind in camshaft in the highport makes the more power, the angle of the air intake manifold runners being almost completely straight to the valve is what moves the air better.

but i would really like to see cfm flow bench results for the head differences.

Does this respected member have dyno charts of the same setups of a highport and a lowport on the same dyno with the same conditions to run back to back?

I can't see how a lowport wouldn't benefit from a 02 manifold enough to make it worth the purchase compared to a highport. Can you ask the respected member if he has some dyno charts?

I thought the dyno on the O2 induction site was from a lowport. I thought Rob (guy to dyno'd) had a B14. You can drill and tap a bunch holes on the bottom of the manifold if you want to run all the stock idle stuff. I just did this myself last week. I have all of my stock idle stuff on there, and the thing idles like stock, even with the Q45TB.

Highport

as far as head flow goes i havent found any solid evidence that either head flows more than another...other than the highport manifold is better for flow, and has a better camshaft.

headflow would make the manifold perform and respond differently. but dyno numbers would be hard to compare between high port and low port given the application specs would have to be spot on
