Yep, I sure do. Funny you mention different alternators, ihadnt really thought about that . I think it's due to be replaced anyway, I can never get anymore than 13.6v "charging". I know it should be around 14.6vdc.

I did find out that the car doesn't like to be babied, though. The only time she feels good is when I'm rough with her guess I broke it in too hard.

Sorry, was on the iPhone typing. A little more difficult than a 'puter.

It's a GSPEC VE pulley, and all other accessories are OEM stockers.

I will get the part # for the correct belt with the right # of ribs when i go to my shop tomorrow, i cant remember it off the top of my head. I used to have problems with squealing at start up loosening of the alternator bolts and snapping belts, once i went with the right belt with the correct # of ribs it solved all of this.

You all need to understand the VE crank pulleys are smaller than the stock de dets. The belts for the five rib ac delete most likely aren't going to fit, at least that was an issue for mine. I went through a pile of belts before I noticed, myself.

The other problem is the five rib belts aren't going to work with this pulley either the pulley sticks out further than on the de/det. For the belt to line up and not get thrown off, the belt needs to have an empty groove on the outside for the crank pulley and an empty groove on the opposite end (towards the motor) on the alt pulley. Looking down at the pulleys they look off center, but that is the only way I could get everything to work. It has been a few years now with no issues.

Feel free to try it for yourselves maybe I got some crazy pulley or something, but IMO you will come to the same conclusions as me.

Here is the belt i used to fix the problem on my car. It may not work for some but being the engine with the said problem isnt listed i am assuming he is running a det or de. here is the betl i used. Its a kelly springfield 325k6, some of the other #'s listed are 6pk0825, and 6can x 82,5cm. For a ve i really wouldnt know as i havent worked on one myself.

Dude, I was having the same problem and found out that I was missing the nut that holds the long bolt that holds the alt. to the car. Just a idea.....also trying not tightening it as much.
