No big turbo for me, i'm sticking to my T28, and all of this was done with my stock Pulsar manifold (not even ported out or anything). Here's the link to my time slip.

This man right here is proof of what a badass small turbo car can do.

again i love the t28's, i had that same s15 turbo and again i tell you what even at 9psi in my 2100 lb sentra would have run those 11.5-7's all day. Then at 21 psi which i should have just went with about 16psi would have been insane, too bad i didnt get to run that setup at the track. It would have kicked @ss. I got to mess around with a couple people on only 9psi and it was just insane. lets put it this way a 550whp cobra didnt stand a chance. hahahahaha

Wow this thread really excites me. I am also running the gt28r turbo on my gtir with a stock gtir manifold, 2.5" intercooler piping, 3" dp and side exit exhaust, 72lb msd's, etc.....Anyway I plan to run 22psi at the track on 110octane and am hoping to get some 11's@ 117+mph on my nitto 205/55zr 14" drag radials! Wish me luck!

Then in feburary comes a p11 or b15 tranny along with a gt2871r(.64a/r) And I will be looking for LOW 11's@ 120mph+....

Quick question does anybody run the t25 flanged gt3071r or would that be to much??? I haven't seen anybody do it so I am not sure and would like to know?

Also Miko in the one post you referred to this turbo "GTBB37 Incon turbo" What is it? and where can it be gotten? Also what numbers will it put down???

Thanks for all your knowledge!

they work very well on a gtir motor, a mate of mine has used them on most of his builds, 463bhp, 423lbft the best yet, stock manifold, head and cams.

My buddy told me that that turbo needs a t3 flange to work properly....Do you have any details on his set-up? And if possible a dyno sheet??

If you have a GT28R turbo this turbo is good enough to run 11.5-118 at 120-122 MPH.

Now as far as octane goes there is no need to run 110. Running to high of an octane will make the car slower. Always run the lowest octane needed to get the job done. To run 22 PSI you will need no more than 98-101 octane.

I have a little chart for boost and octane and it goes. 0-15 PSI 93-95 octane, 16-22 PSI 97-101 octane and 23-40 PSI 105-C16 octane

The only problem with running to large of a T25 based turbo is that you can get boost creep. This happend becuase the waste gate hole can not remove ebough air quick enough to keep boost under control. If you go with an external waste gate boost will be in check no mater what size of T25 based turbo you run.

On RWD SR20DETs I have been able to keep the boost creep under control with internal wastegates by opening up the wasegate hole bigger with the larger turbos. With the FWD cars the bottle neck of the J pipe along with the sharp angle which is about 2.25 or so will not let enough air pass by at a given time to stop boost creep. I have been able to fix this problem by making an external dump with the internat wastegat but its to much work for nothing realy.

A GTBB37 turbo can make 450 WHP with no problem. I am sure it can make more but I have not seen anything more than that as of right now.
