It will also have much better role on runs than a T3 style turbo.
good point
, but there are many different types of t3/t4 as oppossed to limited styles of t2's

yea well built and cheap china garbage dont go hand and hand.

anyway, bottom line is the manifold posted is garbage if ssac makes it, it will also be garbage

You need to think about that quote for a sec. There are so many T25 based turbos its not even funny. They have turbos that make from 100-500 WHP.

You can stick with your T3 based turbos. The conversation is about the manifold. As far as this manifold craking that might be but if made correctly it will not crack. The newer based China made RWD manifolds do not crack. The SSAC header does not crack. Again if we get them to make it and they do it the way we ask it will be perfect.

Lastly, everything made in China is not crap there is no need to generalise. I could say a few things of the subject that would make you think about that comment.

Anyway....

Your comment towards me makes no sense. When did I ever say well built and cheap go hand in hand? All I said was that is seemed like you never seen a well built T-28 car.

I know a lot of guys have had great results with SSAC headers. I have dealt with them first hand. If SSAC makes a manifold like this it may hold up well. Who is to say it will not be like their header.

here was my b13 on an s15 bb t28 @9psi, yes 9psi

this was on brand spankin new falkens. Again 9psi, just imagine what 16-18psi would have done. I got to taste 21psi for a whole 3 runs but this turbo just made too much heat at that level being it has a smaller turbine housing than the 2871 does. At 21psi for the couple runs i got to do i was spinning the tires till about 105mph in 4th gear. 3rd gear looked like second gear in those vids. The tach pegged and held 90mph until i felt it was close then hit 4th all for the tires to just go back up in smoke till 105 then quickly i mean very quickly like probably 1.5 seconds i was redline in 4th.

It was insanely fast. My buddy on here can vouch cuz he was in the car at the time. hahaha

Rob, there's a couple cars down here that are making good power. Miko did one with a GT28rs that runs 11s. And Bob's car with a GT2871r made 380 at the wheels at 18psi, and he's taken it over 24psi, so I'm sure its well over 400 at the wheels. And all this was done on a Calum realtime ecu, and S4 cams, stock gtir manifold, and internal wg.

I'm actually going to get a new center section for the broken GT28RS I have, I believe in these Garrett ball bearing T2 turbos.

It's not a turbo manifold. It doesn't have to put up with the weight and heat. No reason to bring it up.

Until you buy an SSAC GTIR manifold yourself, brace it up on an SR20, and actually use it all the hoopla posts about cracking don't mean diddly squat. It's all just a game of pass the baton on the hearsay. There have been like at least 3 runs of production on there... I can find just as many posts about them being praised on the pulsar forums (as well as the internet, here, etc.) that exist with people ****ting on them.

There are a few companies that buy chinese made manis, cut and reweld/braced them and sell in their vq kits right now that are succesful. I'm not advocating anything really, not promoting anything weary or picking sides here... just sharing the facts.

Try it out, take pictures, do the work, build the car, post results, and then **** on it.

What are you talking about, The very early SSAC headers use to crack just like the Hot**** header. SSAC listemed to their customers and made the header thicker and they stopped cracking.

Rob knows I have been running these Crazy T25 flanged turbos from back around 1996 when no one knew about them. I used to run the HKS versions and Incon versions which were cheaper and had better combinations I have seen an average from 350-420 WHP and 11.3-12.0 1/4 miles times with these turbos on builds that I have done.

I will never use anything else for a street car setup because there is nothing better.
