I dunno, but to me the lopey idle of a modded engine always sounds great.

Sorry for the thread jack, but

End of story no need for discussion

What else were your mods? I know you said "On only"
So no 3" exhaust?
8.5:1 compression or 9.5:1 compression?
front mount, side mount, top mount?

I would like to know b/c, what you posted are my goals.

Thanks.

Yeah, I thought it was low also. Especially since my T28 is big (it's comparable to the Gt28rs, except mine is journal bearing. It even has the .86 AR). So I think with me running only 6 psi I'm not really getting anything out of the turbo. Gonna have to crank it up to 15 psi, me thinks.

Something is wrong somewhere on it though. We had to set my fuel pressure to 45 psi -- it's got the JWT program to run at 4 bar though. So we don't know what the issue is. At 4 bar its running extremely rich.

BTW: The lopey idle on this engine sounds way, way better then it ever did on my NA USDM engine.

I see people making power on lower boost, running lean. I think this number is completely reasonable, there is no one around here making anywhere close to the power others are claiming. Could be that elevation has a lil to do with it, but I doubt it. There may be more power to be had, but not on the current setup. Once again, the blow thru setup on this car made the engine run incredibly rich. For a 4 bar program, we shouldn't have to lower fuel pressure to get air fuel ratios where they need to be. We are running 3 bar fuel pressure on a 4 bar program. Something aint right...

SCC had a budget boost article on an SER a while back. 213whp, and 196 tq, 3" side exit exhaust, magnaflow cat, and s3 cams on a 9.5:1 motor with an safc. Bluebird turbo kit on that one.

I bet exhaust/cat will get him around this area without adding any boost. Having higher compression means more power on less boost, but we should make more power with some simple changes to the setup. Having lower compression means we can push more boost on pump gas. We will be dynoing this car again soon.

9.5:1 jdm motor, rwd t25, rwd tubular manifold, greddy 3" turbo outlet pipe running open, s4 cams, 370cc injectors @4bar, calum basic ecu, z32 maf running blowthru, fidanza 8.8lb flywheel, act clutch.

Thats it, on 8psi then 12psi on slicks. The s15 bb t28 on 9psi ran way way harder than the t25 did at 12-13 psi not to mention had another 1500rpms of powerband since power doesnt drop off like mad after 6k. It holds and continues to make more power up to 7500rpms or so. It was rediculous. I figured on 9psi my trap speed would have been about 115 mph or so.

So, what's next? BC stg 2? We got a g20 up here gonna do the swap. I am just afraid the results may not be exact unless we do a before/after dyno. We can throw them in and see what happens though.
