Thoughts on this turbo ....
Forced Performance Turbochargers: FP HTA GT3076R Ball Bearing Turbocharger

it is moded GT3076r , if you cant read ...and you can get one modded for like around 550.00 dollers , just wondering peoples opinion?? I thought it might be a nice in between option for those that want more power and flow for those VE+T projects with fast spool , supposedly faster then a normal gt3076r , and by the way it sounds more power like a gt3082r ...minus the lag

You should also check out the Borg Warner line up...S258 or S362 turbos are compariable

s362 is WAY bigger than the HTA 3076 .
the HTA are fast spooling turbos that works good on HIGH boost aplications.

That's a lot of cheese just for a modified 3076r. I picked my .82 A/R 3076r for $1080, new in box. I could have spent a little less and gone with a smaller housing, which would have given me faster spool time. Hell, boost hits pretty nasty around 4K anyway, which is more than fine.

i like the hta turbos!

However i have heard that the gt35 hta performs better than the gt30, and it does make sense as to why, hell even the 76mm garret wheel is big for the gt30 turbine.

i think the borg warner 256 or 258 is a wicked options as well

the ultimate option for the power band you seem to be wanting is the twin scroll billet s56-gt3, which runs a 10 balded inconel back swept ex wheel (very similar to the garret one) with a borg warner 256 compressor and DUEL ceramic ball bearing cartridge, which are way better than steel ball bearings in regards to thrust loading, weight and many other things.

imo garret make the best ex wheels, but their compressors could be better (that all a hta is a gt20 with the forced performance custom made compressor wheel and they do perform well). The billet turbo option runs what i believe is all the strengths of the two big turbo companies. If you are worried about reliability 2jz down here runs one of their bigger turbos and has churned out 2050 hp, which was 150 hp more than the gt55 that was prev on it

yeah but the smaller housing is a resriction for the VE head or so it seams , I guess I will find out , I want to run mu GT3076r , and if it does not do it < I will just swap the GT3582R on , and give it a go with that ....I am, just worried about spool on the 35r , and power with the 30r ....

Guys are making 550whp on 76r's. And 600 on the 35. Every 35r car I have been in was laggy as hell. I can't stand it.

well the borg warner 256 in in between those two and spools pretty good better than the gt35

If going a gt35, i would defiantly consider the hta version, but i have already said my preference

If you want to make 500whp or more go GT35R

If you want under 500whp but more than 400whp go GT3071R
