ok so I've found several problems, first of all my coil was starting to go bad in my dizzy. I replaced the dizzy, and it still had a little miss, so I'm waiting on my old lady to get home with my battery (that's currently in her car) so that I can check to see if the new cap and rotor solved this problem.

My timing was also off by about ten degrees. I set the timing per the fsm.

I checked my tps to see if it may be a factor also. It checked out perfectly.

NOW, for the main event. This ****ing maf situation is starting to get to me. I start the car...it runs like ****. I unplug the maf and it idle's fine...minus the little miss. I rev the car up with the maf unplugged and it has a very bad dead spot until it gets up around 2500 and frees up again. I'm almost positive the maf is wired correctly...z32 by the way, I followed the jwt diagram and went by the color of the wires. I found my hot wire and signal wire with a voltmeter and connected them accordingly. Is it possible that the VQ map in rom editor for the vg is wrong?? I have several other bins with z32 maf and the vq's don't look the same as the one in rom editor.

And lastly but not leastly advanced auto discontinued ngk bkr7e's, I'm guessing they have a new plug out with a different part #?

Any new videos?
I was going to comment that the timing sounded way off on them as your turbo shouldn't be making that much noise at idle.

Also, have you changed the plugs yet? I have found that NGKs don't take well to fouling.
Have you verified consistent spark on all cylinders? In the videos it sounds like 1 isn't firing.

I'll grab some plugs tomorrow...pay day...yess

cylinder 1 is firing intermittently, I hooked my timing light to it and it wants to skip once in a while. brand new cap and rotor, known good dizzy. I do think that the timing may be off because i'm pretty far to the right (when facing from the driver's side) I'll try to center it up again tomorrow but it ran almost exactly the same when it was centered up. Here's a video with the maf unplugged then plugged in. The maf tests good with ignition on but it's hard to test at idle because it's so unstable.

cylinder one is intermittent i'll check the rest tonight. I put some brand new bkr7e's gapped at .30 in it. The timing is way off so I'll re-set it tonight as well.

well, i tried to re-set the timing a few minutes ago and cylinder one had absolutely no spark once I put it in timing mode. I switched wires and it did the same. When I cold started the car I had excellent spark on all cylinders. So I'm guessing the coil in the dizzy is going bad...AGAIN. This is the second dizzy I bought from a forum member. Car is still throwing out quite a bit of black smoke...yes black. I mentioned earlier in this thread that I thought it was blue but i looked up under the car (open downpipe) and it's definitely black. Noticed when i unplugged the tps that my idle was way down too, I guess I need to adjust it as well.

Anyone else have any ideas besides a coil gone bad again???

I'm really getting frustrated here.
