u12 swap/afc help
have a friend that has a u12 swap in a p10, he has the stock ecu for it and needs help tuning the car. I have never messed with an afc before and was wondering the steps to get this thing to run the 370's, he still has the stock maf and all so the only problem seems to be the injectors as of now.

dude its really worth just going and buying a bluebird ecu no tunnig required. but if you cant your going to have to turn the injectors down low because the computer is going to be seeing the extra air from the turbo still thinking it has the 270's in it so its going to be dumping fuel to try and compensate.

yea, I understand that...That's why he has the afc he wants to tune with. Looking for an explanation on how to use the afc to tune the stock ecu...

If you do not have a wideband do not waste your time trying to tune it with an afc. It's not really worth blowing a motor. It seems people always get an afc because they think it is going to be cheaper to tune with than a reprogrammed ecu. I had an afc, but sold it and got a calum basic tune and couldnt be happier with the plug and play capability. Get a wideband or look into the same option I chose.

^ x2 if you cant see your air fuel ratios at idle,cruise,wot...its a waste, you will definitly blow something and it will never be spot on!

so this could easily be done on a dyno probably with the wideband hooked up since he doesn't have access to one otherwise. but hell, by the time he paid for the pulls he'd might as well gotten a calum basic.

well and some shops might charge him for tuning also not just pulls becuase he is technically tuning the car, and whos to say they are going to be able to tune it 100% efficently even with a wideband.

he has the u12 BB, so I'm guessing my calum basic set up for the u13 won't work will it?? Wanted to swap it in and see how it does. same injectors, same maf, etc...
